The Future is Near

22 weeks. I have 22 weeks until graduation. I have two more finals weeks. Two more quarters. One more break. And then I’m officially done with school forever. Yah!!!

Don’t get me wrong the last almost 5 years of college was a great experience where I learned about myself, made new friends, tried new experiences, went to Europe, and maybe learned a thing or two along the way.

This quarter I’m taking a mandatory senior class called “career strategies”. Basically its a class where you, hopefully, figure out your life.

I would love to work for a vegan company. Being vegan this past year and three months have really changed my life and set me on a new path. I found something that I am truly passionate about. I found passion for the first time. Something to wake up for in the morning.

Applied to Hampton Creek today. I know it’s a little early to start applying but going to start sending in resumes throughout these next 22 weeks and hit the ground running over my two week summer break.

  1. I think it’s a great idea to start applying early – it’ll get you way ahead of the game and potential employers will see your enthusiasm! I waited much too late and ended up on yet another course that I wasn’t even particularly sure I wanted to do! Good luck with it all 🙂

  2. Please don’t become very concerned about figuring out all of your life now. True, a basic plan is necessary to avoid wandering without goals [as many do]. However, as I look back on almost 39 years (is that possible?) since college graduation, it’s clear that I wasn’t even close to being the master of my destiny!
