When I first went vegan I was incredibly confused about the different “kinds” of veganism. I’ve heard from some people that the starch solution was the best, others said raw till four, while others said fully raw. Which one is the best? Or is there one better than the other? I’ve learned through my six months of being vegan that you should do what is best for you. And that looks different for each person. No one is better than the other.
I started with the starch solution where I ate mainly just starches and little fruit and no vegetables. But that evolved over the months. Basically I eat whatever I feel like. Typically I don’t eat three meals a day. I eat more like 6 or 7 “meals” a day. I don’t know if it is better or not but I tend to eat a little bit here and there. Unless I have class, then I kind of have to eat three meals. For the past two weeks it is a lot more fruit and a lot more raw vegetables, with little starches and beans. But next week that can change. Some weeks I eat a lot of rice and beans, some weeks I eat a lot of fruit.
As long as you’re not consuming animal products; it shouldn’t matter what “kind” of veganism you follow. I mean it’s all veganism; whether you eat more starches, more fruit, or a combo of both.
