Life Update/Things I’ve Learned in College/”Chicken” Noodle Soup

I’m entering my last year of college ever starting in the end of September. I mean unless I decided to get a master’s degree at some point in my life. But I’m sure that won’t happen. Or if it does it won’t be until after I have kids and start my family.

I have three more weeks left of this quarter before a three-week break. Which is why I haven’t blogged as much as I usually would or would like to. I promise I will start blogging more. I also have to move in about two weeks to a townhouse instead of an apartment. And I haven’t even started to pack.

This quarter has been pretty good. Extremely busy but good. Started to work on my school’s news team where I learned that it is extremely stressful to produce a weekly news show and I don’t want to do that with my life. I’ve produced a friend’s project for class and that was really fun. I like to organize things and keep people on track.

That is what school is for. Learning what you absolutely don’t want to do in order to figure out what you want to do. It’s been a matter of deduction for me. I thought I would like something, tried something, figured out I really hated that something, tried something new. Rinse, repeat.

I found out that I really love and am passionate about veganism and want to do something with it. Working at an animal sanctuary and doing some sort of marketing sounds really fun. I’m also passionate in the pro-life movement as well. Basically I’m just passionate about life in general and the fact that even the smallest seemingly insignificant has a life that matters.

College has helped me figure out who I am and who I want to be. What I want to be passionate about, what I want to spend my life doing, how I want to change the world. Even though I don’t know what I will be doing or where I will be next year, I believe that things happen for a reason. You meet people for a reason, you live in a certain place for a reason. That reason might not be clear at first but there is one. So my first job outside of college, no matter how small or where it will be, will teach me something.

So next spring break I will be in London, Ireland and the Vatican. I will be in the Vatican with Papa Francis during Holy Week!! As a Catholic, that is a once in a lifetime experience. Super excited for that! Need to figure out how to be vegan in foreign countries. So if you have any tips for those countries that would be much appreciated.

This exists and I had it for lunch. Super weird, it tastes just like chicken noodle soup. Or at least what I think chicken noodle soup tastes like, it’s been two years since I’ve had chicken noodle soup or any meat.

Passionate vegan. Catholic.
