Came across this article about a “new” diet that merges the paleo and vegan diets. But this meal plan is by no way vegan. There is chicken, tuna, eggs, hamburgers. The only thing that they did right is no dairy.
According to Webster’s Dictionary a vegan is “a person who does not eat any food that comes from animals and who often also does not use animal products (such as leather).” Vegan is a person who doesn’t eat foods the come from an animal because of ethical reasons. Being plant-based is someone who doesn’t eat foods that come from an animal because of health reasons. Vegans can be both but no vegan will eat meat, ever.
