“Fed Up” and Childhood Obesity

Watching this new documentary on Netflix called “Fed Up” about the childhood obesity crisis in America and all over the world. There are a few things that I disagree with on this documentary, including promoting “leaner” meats, eating less carbs, however, there are a few things that I do agree with.

The problem with fast food and added sugar. The food addictions that start young. Food corporations are trying to get kids sucked into their foods. Because its profit. Having a small bag a skittles, yes they are vegan, once a month or once every other week isn’t bad. And I do eat them as a treat every once in a while. The problem is when people eat them all the time. Also pop, even diet pop is addicting and really bad for your health.

Another thing that I like is that they don’t place fruit and these added sugars in the same category. Sugar in its natural form, according to this documentary is good and should be eaten and encouraged. Because I’m fairly certain that someone isn’t obese because they are eating fruit all day.
