Cholesterol on a Vegetarian Diet

Not to brag or anything, but I have fantastic cholesterol levels.  The past June, about 1 year from becoming vegetarian my Dr. scheduled a test, for no real apparent reason. I wished that I got tested before becoming vegetarian but didn’t think about it.

cholesterol, Total: 124. The “standard” range is 125-199.

Triglycerides: 69. The “standard” range is 40-149.

HDL cholesterol: 46. “standard” range is less than 60.

LDL cholesterol: 64. “standard” range is 60-99.

Given the fact that it had only been about 1 year and I was vegetarian, not vegan, my levels are most likely much lower than during last summer. I ate a lot of cheese and eggs at this point, I’ve since cut those out as well.
