Free Pizza All The Time

Ever since I became vegan I’ve noticed more and more that free pizza is offered at school all the time. There is a talk tonight I’m going to, but bringing my own food since they are serving pizza for dinner. Tuesday there is a talk at school, and they are serving pizza for lunch. I did a photo shoot and they paid us in pizza.

Now I know that the majority of the world is not vegan, and I don’t expect everyone to accommodate every dietary need or choice. But my roommate is gluten-free so she can’t eat the pizza either.

So I’m going to be the weirdo that brings food, even when free food is offered.  I’m going to be that person. Lol.

  1. The ‘free pizza’ becomes even more of a conundrum for younger kids (parties, school functions, etc.). Mine, however, are seasoned veterans. They won’t touch it, even if their friends say they’ll take the cheese off! Love ’em.

    1. PS – You can just say you already ate, then go back home and eat there later, if you don’t want to draw attention to yourself. But then…we’re vegan! Don’t we want to draw attention? Isn’t that kind of the point? I love wearing my PETA Vegan shirt (in 6 languages) to places where I’ll get maximum meat-eater eyes. It’s just fun. 😀
