Why I’m Really Proud of Myself Right Now

I bought candy for the first time this month (huge accomplishment), and I only ate about 20 pieces or so of mini sweet tarts before putting the rest away.  Normally, I would eat the entire package and then some. At which point I would start to not feel well but eat it anyways.  It didn’t really taste that good this time or at least as good as I originally thought they did.

After becoming vegan I’ve been thinking about what I am eating a lot more than before. I’ve been a vegetarian for the past year and a half (maybe a little more) but I wasn’t really that healthy. I didn’t eat meat but I ate processed, packaged foods and a lot of candy and pop. I’ve stopped the microwave meals and the processed foods for a more natural diet. But I will eat non-natural foods sometimes but I’m starting to not like it as much as I did before.

I know that doesn’t seem like much of an accomplishment, but to me its a big one.
