Health Benefits of Vegetarian/Vegan Diet (If Done Right)

If done right, there are many health benefits of becoming vegetarian or vegan.  You can be vegetarian/vegan while still eating junk food and drinking pop.

Preventing heart disease and reducing risk of cancer: because common vegetarian/vegan diets have no animal fat and low in cholesterol and consume more fiber and antioxidants.

Reduces saturated fat: really helps with cardiovascular health.

High in Fiber: helps fight against colon cancer

Helps to lower blood pressure

Helps lower body mass index and weight loss

High energy levels

Longer Life

This is some of the many benefits.  The more I research the more I realize that I made the right choice to switch.  Even if you don’t completely become vegan or vegetarian, having non-meat meals helps with health as well.
